To get to this goal a relationship is necessary. To start this relationship, a person must invite Jesus Christ to come into their heart as Lord and Savior. Then this person must know and then believe all that happened when Christ came in. For instance, this person is now complete and is qualified for all the promises of God based on what Christ did. Then the final phase is walking out life in Christ, with a total awareness of Christ within. This is not a Christ robot, but a person walking in relationship with Christ with their own unique personality. God designed uniqueness and desires variety in each of us.
For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:4 (NASB).
